TANGO STREET DANCE STUDIO
Classes: 2nd and 4th Saturday night "Tango Salsa and Some" : A basic Argentine tango dance lesson and periodically Salsa or Swing is taught. Followed by a dance party so you can dance to different genres of music. 7:45-9:45 pm. $13 per person

Tango Street Dance Studio- is a company of WR Performwerks is dedicated to the promotion, education and performance of dance especially Argentine Tango.
After taking lessons and extensive workshops He began teaching in 1992.
Dancing t least 4 nights a week.
It was founded on February 2014 by William Roberson, Instructor: He has been teaching tango since 1992. He is also an original Chicago Soul Train dancer. He is also the son of legendary gospel singer Major Roberson of the Pilgrim Jubilees. He began his tango education for several years with the influence of Chicago Tango Club. He took various workshops there and visiting instructors from other countries and eventually took intermediate and advance classes. He was influenced by various Argentine tango, Salsa from Latin Street and others and ballroom teachers..He recently danced as a tango extra in the film “Deadly Embrace”. And also appeared as an actor in the local Chicago stage version of Dreamgirls and the film ‘What About The Children”.After retiring from the public dental health field William started Tango Street/WR Performwerks.
Growth : Since Tango Street was formed in the first year and a half it has performed it's own dance showcases and performed in 2 others 3 IN 2017, 2014 ,2014, 2015 and 1 in 2012 before it's official organization.
We have 3 venues: group classes in Steger, and in South Holland and Schererville at Second Street Dance Studio , 2-3 outdoor community festivals yearly.
Note: The students took lessons, months later performed them and most now choreograph their own dances. Some did not think they could learn the dances.
Future: Performwerks /Tango Street Dance Studio
Currently actively auditioning for television and film projects as an actor.
William hopes to open hopefully through contributions a multi-purpose venue that will feature dance classes and performance as well as a 200 seat theater to perform live shows including directing. many of his gospel themed plays and some classic plays . He has choreographed dances for wedding and does give private lessons and will teach at group functions .
He also served as an ordained associate minister in the Chicago area for many years. He now just does it through his many artistic gifts...To see the joy in people.
